Global Safe Haven Network (“GSHN”), a project of the Alyson Ilene Kaplan Memorial Foundation, over the next five years, will become a provider of vital travel-related products and services for young adults, ranging from trip-planning information and education to emergency assistance in the United States and abroad. GSHN will be developed to offer young travelers – whether traveling domestically or internationally – and their families and friends: education to promote safe travel, travel support to ensure safety and security while on trips, and protection in the event of an emergency.
GSHN is unique in what it offers the youth travel marketplace in three important ways:
- It will promote the critical importance of education as a way to ensure preparedness for a trip.
- It will develop and coordinate access to a global network of safe havens for young travelers.
- It will distribute travel-related information “real-time”, 24/7 to its members to contribute to their safe and secure travel.
