Remembering Alyson Kaplan
(A person of passion and compassion)
Westlake Magazine April 2003
Alyson Kaplan was a young woman with dreams, and she
actively pursued those dreams. She exuded a sense of wonder, and had
a childlike curiosity. Alyson wanted to swim with the dolphins, was
challenged by new events, and found immense joy in living. She had a
passion for life and compassion for the needs of both people and animals.
Her exemplary dedication touched everyone she met, as did her compelling
smile.
Alyson adored her family. Home to her was a safe harbor
where she could drop anchor and enjoy the surrounding waters of love
and nurturing with those closest to her.
At the young age of 20, her life was taken, but the
glow of Alyson's contributions to the human spirit continues to shine
brightly. Her beautiful memory will always be with us, as we continue
to feel the impact of her presence. She may be silent now, but we will
continue to hear the music of her life.

in our memory: The moms, the dads, the grandparents, the children and
